The Tahoua Region Human Resources Quality Improvement Collaborative
This report describes pioneering work where quality improvement methods are being applied to strengthen human resources management and performance at the facility, district, and regional management levels to improve maternal care in Niger’s Tahoua Region.
The project is a collaboration between the Ministry of Public Health of Niger (MOPH) and the USAID Health Care Improvement Project (HCI), which seeks to build the capacity of health systems to better respond to the health needs of underserved populations; improve efficiency and reduce costs; and improve health worker engagement, productivity, and performance.
