Relationship between job burnout and work performance in a sample of Iranian mental health staff

This is a cross-sectional study carried out to measure job stresses and burnout among various health care providers in psychiatric hospital in Iran.
The results of the study show that about 96% of the study group have experienced some level of job burnout and about half of the sample group were suffering from high level of job burnout. This burnout was impacting other aspects of their life including, health, job and social affairs. The study recommends a number of solutions and strategies to minimize burnout in mental health care workers.
