The Kampala Declaration and Agenda for Global Action were endorsed as the first-ever Global Forum on Human Resources for Health held on 2-7 March 2008.
The document calls for higher commitment by governments and development partners to human resources for health, and for acceleration of negotiations for a global code of practice for international recruitment of health personnel, providing an overarching global framework for priority actions relating to the health workforce.
