Mid-level Health Workers. The state of the evidence on programmes, activities, costs and impact on health outcomes A literature review
This review focus on the role of mid level workers as independent providers of health care in resource-poor settings and areas with shortages of professionals.

But there is inadequate information about how these midlevel workers function and their role in and impact on health outcomes. This review recommends what can be done to address management challenges and to build better evidence base.
