WHA 57.19 International migration of health personnel: a challenge for health systems in developing countries

This resolution of the World Health Assembly urges member states of the World Health Organization to develop and implement strategies to address migration and favour retention of health personnel.
Furthermore it requests the World Health Organization to provide all the necessary technical assistance to member states in addressing human resources issues and in prioritising human resources development in its General Programme of Work 2006-2015.
