The Alliance will be participating and co-hosting a session at the AIDS conference this year.
- Care and treatment for people with chronic conditions: What can we learn from the HIV experience? A health systems perspective. WHO/UNAIDS event, co-sponsored by the Lancet and the Alliance.

The Alliance will be represented by Dr Masato Mugitani, Assistant Minister for Global Health, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Japan & Board Chair of the Global Health Workforce Alliance - "The health Workforce: Who Care and Where?

Dr Sheikh, Executive Director of the Alliance will speak at a session along with Dr Eric Goosby, Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator, US State Department and Dr Anne Phoya, Ministry of Health Malawi.
The Alliance also worked with the International Aids Society to prepare a "roadmap of health workforce" related sessions at the conference. The roadmap serves as a guide to all HRH related sessions taking place during the conference.
