2012 Best Health Care Improvement Report Contest
Alliance member the Health Care Improvement Project (HCI) seeks stories for the Health Care Improvement Database from health workers and implementers in USAID-assisted countries about how they have improved health care in their local setting. To encourage submission of improvement reports from outside the HCI Project, HCI is holding a contest for “Best Improvement Report” submitted to the HCI Portal during January and February 2012.
In 2011, the HCI Improvement Report contest commended the work of the Bukedea Health Centre IV Ministry of Health Uganda. The Report "Improving Patients' Retention in HIV Care Through Adherence to Scheduled Appointments at Bukedea HC IV, Eastern Uganda" showed how the government health facility improved health service delivery for HIV care in Bukedea district.
