ASSOCIAÇÃO AGIR MOÇAMBIQUE (AGIR) was founded in 2005 without lucrative intentions. This Organization is not governmental and its funds are destined to the poor people and vulnerable. AGIR believes that all human beings have the right of the basics necessity of the life: water, sanitation, food, dwelling, as well as medical assistance and appropriate schoolerity. The AGIRۥs programs cover a big array of relief activities and development.

Main activities

The current activities of AGIR are turned to prevention and impact mitigation of HIV/AIDS in the communities of: Bilene, Mabalane and Xai-Xai in The Gaza province. Since AGIR was founded, it has been implementing some activities in partnership with Provincial Department of Woman and Social Action in context of Roll Back Malaria: Gender analyze in community participation to development; HIV and AIDs awareness in rural area (Bilene, Mabalane and Xai-Xai districts); and provide school support to orphan and vulnerable children.

Links to the health workforce crisis

Many activities are implemented in the context of HIV/AIDS. AGIR has worked in partnership with Distrital Direction of Health; it is in this way that it has relevant links to and influence on the workforce crisis.
