Community Health Information Education Forum (CHIEF) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established and incorporated in 1998. Community based, health development and communication oriented preventing disease and promoting health among disadvantaged, women, children under-five and youths. Over the years CHIEF extended coverage and services to all the five divisions and 14 LGAs of Lagos and one LGA in Ogun States, Nigeria. Main activities

CHIEF provides the following services; Baseline/Formative research, Primary Health Care and management, Maternal New born Child Health (MNCH) e.g. Safe-motherhood, Child-Spacing, Gender Mainstreaming, Child Survival, OVC, Adolescent Reproductive Health development programs, Communicable/Non-communicable disease prevention; STI/HIV/AIDS, Malaria, TB, Breast and Cervical cancer, empowerment programs e.g. trainings, micro-finance, social welfare and health systems strengthening.

CHIEF conducted various capacity building sessions and re-orientated trainings for primary health workers for projects related to MDG goals, safe-motherhood, child survival, OVC, child-spacing, STI/HIV/AIDS, breast and cervical cancer. CHIEF was also involved in National AIDS Control Agency, Lagos State AIDS Control Agency strategic plans.
