Edu-Santé International Institute

Member profile

Edu-Santé is a forward thinking Canadian organization devoted to researching the best options in healthcare and to devising national models to revolutionise the current system. Their focus is in pioneering a world’s first strategically branded and financially sustainable, private health care model with an emphasis on wellness programs, infection controlled environments and education.

Main activities

Edu-Santé is a think tank that endeavours to devise a new system that will combine the best of the private and not-for-profit health care system – the future term is pay-it- forward communities. The Edu-Santé philosophy and intent is focused on implementing simple, commonsense solutions that will overhaul and elevate the present Canadian and Original Peoples health care standards, safety, service and delivery. Work is done on developing models for new health care environments with new technologies, specialized education, and infection control. Training of proactive health care professionals and building of assisted living facilities for the large aging population are priorities.

Links to the health workforce crisis

To help ensure proper healthcare for all, the shortage of health professionals is addressed at Edu-Santé. A main initiative is in training a new type of Nursing Aide called the P.H.C.A - Preventive Health Care Assistant – who will be skilled in Infection Control, Food Safety and Sterile Processing. Edu-Santé is also launching environment friendly Assisted Living homes to be franchised where the P.H.C.A accreditation will be mandatory for all Nursing Aides.
