Member profile

Global Doctors is a Danish civil society organization aiming to put global health on the public agenda. We believe that all people, wherever they live, should have access to proper health services. To that end we wish to promote the development of comprehensive health services, particularly education and empowerment of health workers.

Main activities

Global Doctors conducts advocacy to influence development policy; promotes sustainable solutions to the global health workforce crisis through articles and seminars; and engages in capacity building of partner organizations in the Global South.

Links to the health workforce crisis

Our project in Rwanda aims to build the capacity of the Rwandan Medical Association (RMA) especially to help the RMA advocate for solutions to the health worker crisis in Rwanda.

Our project in Ethiopia aims in part to provide supervision for a new cadre of non-physician mental health professionals educated to fill the void caused by a profound lack of psychiatrists and psychologists.
