Member profile
HealthConnections International (HCI) has been a placement firm in the United States, since 1996, with a specialty of placing health care professionals in jobs in other countries. Its staff has more than 27 years of domestic and international recruiting experience. HCI’s belief is that, by giving health care workers the opportunity to live and work outside their home country, there will have better cultural understanding and in some small way contribute to making the world a better place to live.
Main activities
Finding staff in a shortage area can be quite frustrating and costly. HCI was in part created in response to the need in many countries for qualified health care professionals that are in short supply. It represents many high-quality Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Psychologists, Dietitians and Audiologists that are interested in working in another country for a minimum one-year commitment as regular full time employees. HCI screens candidates for adaptability, character, initiative, and integrity. It offers a full service consulting to understand the needs of the employers and to attract the best talent to do the jobs.
Links to the health workforce crisis
HCI has been placing American Allied health workers in jobs for 11 years (primarily in UK, Ireland and New Zealand). Its success comes from expert training & evaluation methods catered to employers and employees alike. HCI’s goal is to assist developing countries in the recruitment of health care workers to their countries from all over the world through training in recruitment methods that allows them to compete on the global stage.
