The University of Science, Arts & Technology (Montserrat) (USAT) was established in 2003, and it is fully accredited by the Ministry of Education of Montserrat.

Main activities

The vision of the founding members of USAT, was to develop an educational focus based on the strengths of Traditional Medicine combined with advancing technologies in Alternative Medicine. The educational curriculum is, therefore, based on the premise that a solid foundation in basic medical science is an absolute prerequisite for any medical career.

Links to the health workforce crisis

USAT is committed to bettering the health workforce. Its main activities toward this goal are: developing and conducting leading programs of medical education; and integration of allopathic and evidence-based complimentary therapies in teaching and clinical practice. The goal of USAT is to help mature and self-motivated teachers and learners around the world to pursue advanced studies.
