PREVENTION OF DOMESTIC ACCIDENTS

Summary: In synergy with the WHO, Pequeno Príncipe Hospital will celebrate WHD this coming April 6th, and will focus on the theme of PREVENTION OF DOMESTIC ACCIDENTS. The main goals are: to celebrate health simultaneously with the world; to inform the community and promote preventive actions against domestic accidents; to replicate prevention programs to be offered to those families that resort to the hospital, and as part of actions promoted in schools. The aim isto promote a road race and a walk to a public place where activities would take place. Such activities will include both children and adults and will focus on the theme. The distribution of 30,000 folders promoting the theme will take place at the event, through the hospital family´s programs, and in the schools.

Dia Mundial da Saude para a criança

XII HEALTH FAIR

Summary: In commemoration to the World Health Day, the Municipal City Hall of Jaú - Department of Health will be holding its XII Health Fair, with an approximate public of 25 thousand people. In this event, information of educational and preventive character will be made available in the areas of health relevant to the woman, child, adult, adolescents, senior, faculty, worker, etc. This year, we will emphasize children's health, according to slogan proposed by OMS.

Día Mundial Da Saúde 2003

Summary: A Organização Nacional da Saúde – ONS e o Instituto Medico Salete – IMS, comemorou a data no dia 05 promovido pela OPAS e apoiado pela SABESP e Rotary Club Cantareira, no Mirante de Santana. Contou com a presença de representantes de Movimentos Populares de Diadema, das Zonas Leste, Oeste e Norte, Rotary Club da Cantareira, Fundação Nacional da Saúde, Divisões de Doenças ocasionadas pelo Meio Ambiente do Centro de Vigilância Epidemiologica da Secretária Estadual da Saúde – CVE/ SES, Secretária do Meio Ambiente – SMAB, entre outros.

Cerca de 80 pessoas aproximadamente, participaram das atividades desenvolvidas. As comemorações foram iniciadas com atividades de Tai Chi Chuan, na Praça do Mirante de Santana, orientadas por especialistas da Sociedade Paulista de Tai Chi Chuan. Em seguida, foi realizada palestra com, a Presidente da Organização Estadual de Ecoclubes de Toledo/ Paraná, Tatiane Dal Bosco e o Promotor Nacional de Dengue, Willian Andrioli. Os dois jovens, fazem parte do Ecoclube, ONG constituída basicamente por jovens e adolescentes que propõem uma melhor qualidade de vida para a população , reconhecida e apoiada pela OMS/ OPS. Mostraram a importância do uso dos recursos públicos e comunitários em uma sociedade. Um grupo de jovens, apresentaram-se tocando instrumentos musicais. Outras crianças declararam poemas e dançaram. A intenção das apresentações, foi destacar a importância de jovens na realização de atividades diversas que ajudem na construção de uma sociedade saudável.

Após um saudável e equilibrado lanche com frutas, pães e sucos, foi realizada a plantação de mudas de ipê roxo e amarelo, com o apoio de jovens moradores das proximidades que se comprometeram a cuidar e observar o crescimento constantemente.

Durante todo o evento, uma das unidades da Sabesp, através de monitores do setor de arte comunitária, realizou atividades de orientação ao meio ambiente e saneamento e pinturas faciais nas crianças com enfoque ao evento. As crianças realizaram atividades plásticas, com desenhos em cartolinas sobre o tema “ambientes saudáveis e saúde”.

Homenagens ao participante mais jovem, que recebeu um regador para simbolizar a importância do jovem no “regar e cuidar do crescimento do mundo”, e ao mais velho que recebeu uma orquídea, simbolizando a beleza do fruto da construção de um mundo saudável, encerraram o evento.

Commemoration of the World Health Day - Health in School Program

Date: 7th and 8th of April - 2003

Summary: The Health in School Program, developed since the year 2000 in the State Schools of Rio de Janeiro by the State Secretaries of the Civil Defense, Education and Health, has as main objective the implementation of Health Promoting Schools, where students, teachers and community are motivated for the search and maintenance of their own health, as a conquest of a better life quality. The activities in commemoration of the World Health Day 2003 will occur in 7 polo schools (CIEP) and comprises the efforts of multidisciplinary professionals of the Military Fire Department of Rio de Janeiro (pediatricians, physicians, dentists, nurses, speech therapists, psychologists, nutritionists and social assistants).

List of activities:

-Exhibition of videotapes with themes like: diet recommendations, water and air pollution.
-Lectures regarding the basic notions and practice of selective collection of waste in the school.
-Instructions on routine selective waste collection for the community.
-Planting of fruit trees with the students.
-Guided visit of the school kitchen with the students, for instructions on correct food manipulation.

A Cerimonia Oficial no Brasil, promovida pelo Ministério da Saúde e da Organização Panamericana da Saúde – OPAS/ OMS, aconteceu no dia 07 de abril, no Instituto Butantan. Contou com a presença do Presidente da República, Luís Inácio Lula da Silva, o Ministro da Saúde, Humberto Costa, o Governador de São Paulo, Geraldo Alckimin, a Prefeita de São Paulo, Marta Suplicy, entre outros.
