BRAZIL

On World Blood Donor Day, a music show and party formed the celebrations at the Sirio-Libanês Blood Bank in São Paulo. The official opening of the event was conducted by the Director of the Blood Bank, who acknowledged the importance of all blood donors in the world. The Executive Director and the Medical Supervisor of Sirio-Libanês Hospital then gave a short “thank you” to local blood donors on behalf of patients of the hospital.

Regular voluntary donors, who had donated 25, 50 and 75 times, received commemorative metal plaques and a small gift. A live show of typical Brazilian music then took place, followed by snacks and soft drinks.
