Biography

Professor Serge Resnikoff, MD, MPH, PhD, is an international consultant in global ophthalmology, epidemiology and public health. He is conjoint professor at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, President of the Organisation pour la Prévention de la Cécité (OPC), and Chair of the Brien Holden Vision Foundation and the Théa Foundation. His involvement in NTDs elimination, especially trachoma and onchocerciasis spans both global and national levels, including significant roles at a WHO Collaborating Centre in Bamako, Mali, at WHO headquarters in Geneva, and with Non-State Actors. He also contributed to establishing the WHO Alliance for the Global Elimination of Trachoma (GET2020) and has served on the Mectizan Expert Committee, the Trachoma Expert Committee and the International Coalition for Trachoma Control.
