Aida Alsadeeq
Biography
Aida H. Alsadeeq, MD, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Aden in 1993. She completed the Arab Board degree in Paediatrics from the Arab Board of Medical Specializations in Syria in 2003. In 2018, she earned a diploma in postgraduate paediatric nutrition (PGPN) from Boston University in the USA, and an early nutrition specialization (ENS) from Ludwig-Maximilians University in Germany in 2019. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Paediatric department at Aden University and serves as the coordinator of postgraduate studies in the Yemeni specialized certificate programme in Aden. Aida is a recognized national expert in the management of acute malnutrition and a member of the WHO Guideline Development Group for the Guideline on the Prevention and Management of Wasting and Nutritional Oedema (Acute Malnutrition). Aida updated the guidelines for inpatient care of complicated SAM, CMAM, and the Community Health Volunteer (CHV) guideline for Yemen. Aida has participated in many local and international paediatric conferences and was recognized and rewarded by the Yemeni Prime Minister for her achievements in 2017.
