Biography

Aisha Shalash is a public health researcher specializing in adolescent health, reproductive health, and health information systems. She holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Limerick, with a focus on adolescent health and health information systems, and a Master’s in Communication and Public Health from Birzeit University. Aisha is an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Community and Public Health at Birzeit University, where she has led and contributed to numerous research projects, particularly in humanitarian settings. She is skilled in evidence synthesis, implementation research, and qualitative research methods. Aisha’s work has been widely published, reflecting her commitment to advancing public health knowledge, particularly regarding the needs of vulnerable populations. Her research interests also extend to mental health, gender-based violence, and cancer research in low- and middle-income countries.
