Dr Elie Akl is a tenured Professor of Medicine at the American university of Beirut. He leads the division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, the Clinical Research Institute and the AUB GRADE Center. His expertise is in systematic reviews, practice guidelines, and conflicts of interest. He has been involved in the development WHO guidelines for more than 10 years. He published more than 400 peer-reviewed papers and has been listed as one of the “Highly Cited Researchers” yearly since 2015.
