Ali Mohamed Elhag Arabi
Biography
Ali Arabi holds an MBBS in Clinical Paediatrics and Child Health from the University of Khartoum, and an MD in Paediatrics and Child Health from the University of Khartoum.
He is an Associate Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Khartoum. He has also been a member of the Steering Committee for introducing and adapting IMCI pre-service training to medical schools and paramedical training institutes since 2000. He has significant experience in training for the inpatient management of Severe Acute Malnutrition which is organised twice yearly in Sudan. Dr Ali Arabi is currently working as Head of the Advisory Committee and Technical Working Group in the Nutrition Directorate of the Ministry of Health. He has also been head of CMAM adaptation since 2004 and contributed to many guidelines and manuals adapted for Sudan and also contributed to translating many tools into Arabic. He is a member of the executive committee for SUN RAN (research and academy network in Sudan).
