Almah Kuambu
Biography
Almah Kuambu is from the Pacific Island nation of Papua New Guinea. Her upbringing in a rural town in Papua New Guinea has provided her with valuable experiences for personal growth and development. She passionately advocates for disability inclusion, rehabilitation, and assistive technology services. Almah holds expertise in prosthetics, orthotics, basic and intermediate wheelchairs, walking aids, and self-care products. Almah possesses a deep understanding and respect for the needs of individuals requiring assistive technology and wholeheartedly advocates for strengthening the rehabilitation and assistive technology service system. With over a decade of experience in the rehabilitation and assistive technology field and over 34 years of firsthand experience as a prosthetic user, Almah is dedicated to enhancing and fortifying existing rehabilitation and assistive technology systems in Papua New Guinea and the broader Blue Pacific Region.
