Biography

Andrew Bowskill leads the Australian Antimicrobial Resistance Network (AAMRNet), a public-private, multi-stakeholder expert group promoting Australia’s role in the global fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). AAMRNet was established by MTPConnect, Australia’s non-profit life-sciences innovation accelerator, where Andrew has headed stakeholder engagement in the state of Queensland since 2019, facilitating collaboration at the academic research and industry interface. Previously he was Manager of Industry and Regulatory Policy at Medicines Australia, the peak body for the innovative pharmaceutical manufacturers in Australia. With a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Otago in Dunedin and extensive experience as a pharmacist in both community and hospital settings in Australia and New Zealand, Andrew is a passionate advocate for equitable access to medicines for all patients.
