Biography

Andrew Roberts is a Clinical Haematologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital / Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre as well as Professor and Deputy Director at the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute and the Metcalf Chair of Leukaemia Research at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His major research interests are the clinical development of new treatments for leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma through translational and clinical research. He has advised the Australian government on the cost-effectiveness of medicines and health technology assessment for over fifteen years. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science, and Editor-in-Chief of Blood.
