Biography

Angeline Grant is the Nutrition in Emergencies (NiE) Helpdesk coordinator within the Technical Support Team of the Global Nutrition Cluster Technical Alliance (GNC-TA). In this role, she provides support to nutrition cluster coordination teams and country-level nutrition practitioners on NiE-related queries and issues. She also engages with GNC-TA Global Thematic Working Groups, UNICEF and other experts on complex NiE questions that require global guidance. In her role, Angeline has developed a particular interest in questions relating to the prioritisation and implementation of nutrition programming innovations/simplifications within emergency responses and to the responsiveness, accountability and equity of wasting and nutritional oedema treatment services. Angeline has previously worked in the areas of NiE programme implementation, nutrition assessment, nutrition cluster coordination and nutrition-sensitive programming in West Africa, East Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia, with a variety of non-governmental and UN organisations. She holds an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh.
