Dr Anthony Garcia-Prats

Dr Garcia-Prats is an Associate Professor with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (Wisconsin, USA) and Stellenbosch University (Cape Town, South Africa). His primary interests are the management of tuberculosis (TB) and multidrug-resistant (MDR) TB in children, and the pharmacokinetics, safety and acceptability of anti-tuberculosis drugs in children. He is leading or supporting multiple pediatric trials of TB drugs, including delamanid and pretomanid. He is the Principal Investigator of the Unitaid-funded BENEFIT Kids project that aims to improve access for children to better MDR-TB treatment and prevention.
