Biography

Dr. Aoife Doyle is an Associate Professor in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine with 20 years of experience in intervention and programme evaluation. Her work focuses on the development and evaluation of interventions to improve the health and well-being of young people in low- and middle-income countries.

She has field experience leading research projects involving primary data collection with young people in multiple African countries. She currently holds a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship (2021-28) and leads an innovative programme of work exploring the implementation and effectiveness of Y-Check adolescent health and well-being check-ups in Zimbabwe.

She strives to include adolescents in every stage of the research process including during the development and refinement of data collection tools to maximise the relevance and quality of the data collected. She collaborates with WHO and partners on the multi-country Y-Check study and co-organises an annual LSHTM/WHO Global Adolescent Health short course.
