Biography

Dr Arash Seifi, an Iranian national, is a specialist in infectious diseases and a fellow in infection prevention and control (IPC). He serves as Associate Professor at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and is the Program Director of the IPC fellowship course. Dr Seifi is also the Head of the Infectious Diseases Department at Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex in Tehran and leads its IPC Committee and Antibiotic Stewardship Program.

He has played a pivotal role in principal designing and developing infection surveillance systems, including Iran's National Nosocomial Infections Surveillance System, and has contributed to national guidelines on healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial resistance.

His research, published in international journals, focuses on antimicrobial resistance, nosocomial infections, and infectious disease epidemiology.
