Biography

Asmaa Osman M.B.B. Ch, MSc, MD/PhD is an Associate Professor, consultant physician, Clinical Pathology, Assiut School of Medicine, Egypt. She received her MD, internship, and MSc. from Assiut school of medicine. In 2013 she received medical doctorate, PhD in clinical pathology, School of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. She is an IFBA certified professional, and WHO healthcare adviser/auditor of healthcare projects and verification processes. In 2019 and 2021, she is a member of the Global Scholar Program, a visiting professor/research scientist, Translational Research/Cellular Therapeutics, Beckman Research Institute, City of Hope, California. In 2018 she did a fellowship in the international infection control, Louisville University, Kentucky. In 2016 she trained in gene therapy and pathology at Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. In 2015 she trained in transplant Immunology at Baylor University Hospital, Texas. In 2014-2019 she was Chair of the Immunology Unit in the Clinical Pathology Department, and Director of the Infection Control Unit at Aswan University Hospital, working in collaboration with WHO and CDC. In 2018 she was a board member for Development of IS-CME Guidelines, Egyptian Supreme Council for University Hospitals with WHO. In 2014 she represented women of the Egyptian Society as a member of Board of Trustees of City of 6 October, Egypt.
