Bousso Niang
Biography
Dr Bousso Niang is a Biomedical Engineer at the Ministry of Health in Senegal for more than 15 years.
She obtained an international MSc. in biomedical engineering from the Aachen University of Applied Sciences in Germany, an MBA in health economics from the African Center for Graduate Studies in Management in Senegal and a PhD from the Ibero-American International University, where her research focuses on the evaluation of neonatology technical platforms.
Other academic works include "Small animal Tomography for cancer research and drug discovery" and "Auditing reusable medical equipment sterilization".
Her Expertise turns around medical systems. She occupied posts for biology equipment functionality, metrology and computer-assisted maintenance management.
She participated in numerous projects and workshops, such as the Elaboration of the Senegal national health and social plan for 2019-2028, Cold chain plan, Inventory of medical oxygen needs, Cost analysis of providing care, and Development of harmonized curricula in biomedical engineering at the West African Health Organization in Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Togo. She taught medical apparatus at West African Polytechnic University in Senegal for more than 10 years.
Currently, she is interested in processes related to medical device policies, regulations, sustainable supply chain and IVD.
