Biography
Bruno Rocha Evia is a medical doctor and consultant epidemiologist for the Alert and Response Coordination Department of the World Health Organization (WHO). Born and raised in Mexico, Bruno began his career providing health care to indigenous and marginalized communities during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, where he also coordinated public health interventions. He holds an MSc in Global Health from Maastricht University, specializing in Global Health Leadership. Currently, Bruno works in the Public Health Intelligence Unit, where he conducts event-based surveillance, develops information products on outbreaks and responses, and contributes to the upcoming Public Health Intelligence Operational Framework.
