Biography

Dr Craig Tipple is Medical Director at the Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi) and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. A physician scientist and qualified GU medicine/HIV specialist with over 15 years of experience in clinical research and medicine development, he leads medical governance for DNDi's global clinical development portfolio. Previously, he served as a Senior Director at GlaxoSmithKline where he led clinical aspects of several Infectious Disease programmes including sotrovimab, a COVID-19 monoclonal antibody. He holds specialist certification in HIV and GU Medicine from the Society of Apothecaries, Clinical Pharmacology from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, a PhD from Imperial College London, and serves as Vice Chair of a UK National Research Ethics Committee. His expertise spans regulated medicine development, global health research in low- and middle-income countries, AI implementation in Clinical Development and research ethics.
