Biography

Prof. David García-Azorín, MD, PhD, MSci is neurologist (Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid) and associate professor of medicine (University of Valladolid), Spain. Specialist on headache medicine and infectious diseases. PhD on detection of secondary headache disorders (University of Valladolid), Master of Headache Disorders (University of Copenhaguen – 2018-2020), Master of Infectious diseases and tropical neurology (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya – 2018-2019) and Master of Clinical Research (Dresden International University – 2018-2020). Clinical researcher, co-author of >146 publications. Member of the executive board of the Spanish Society of Neurology, responsible for the International and Neurocooperation area. Chairman of the Secondary Headache, Special Interest Group of the International Headache Society. Secretary of the neurology section of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Member of the Africa Task Force of the European Academy of Neurology. He collaborated with the Spanish Medicines Agency as external advisor in the evaluation of adverse effects following immunization. He has collaborated with the World Health Organization as subject matter expert in the thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome following vaccination to prevent COVID-19 guidelines, and he has participated in the Neurology and COVID-19 Global Forum.
