Delfina Hlashwayo
Biography
Delfina Hlashwayo is a public health researcher and faculty member at Eduardo Mondlane University, with a Ph.D. in biosciences and public health. Since 2013, she has worked across research, field implementation and high-level evaluation, including work with the USAID Global Health Supply Chain and serving as an expert reviewer for the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP). Named Mozambique’s Best Young Health Researcher (2025), she contributes as a STAC member for the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), an academic editor for PLOS Global Public Health, and a lead author of the 8th UNESCO Science Report.
