Biography

Achille Kabore, MD, MPH, Ph.D., is a distinguished medical doctor and public health expert with 26 years of experience in neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). He has held leadership roles with the Research Triangle Institute and FHI360, managing global NTD programs across 24 countries. Dr. Kabore serves on several technical and scientific committees, including national Onchocerciasis Expert Committees (NOEC), the WHO Advisory Technical Subgroup for Onchocerciasis Elimination (OTS), the Scientific Program Committee of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH), and as a board member of the Kikundi NTD program manager community of practice. In these capacities, he provides technical expertise to both countries and the World Health Organization. Dr. Kabore has published extensively on Onchocerciasis, Schistosomiasis, Trachoma, and Lymphatic Filariasis, and has recently extended his technical support to Guinea Worm Disease eradication efforts.
