Dr Erika Lindh

Biography

Dr Erika Lindh is a Finnish public health expert specialized in respiratory viral disease and emerging and vector-borne infections. Her academic journey began at the University of Helsinki, where she earned a Master of Science in Biosciences (2008) and later a Ph.D. in Medical Virology (2015). Her thesis work focused on avian and zoonotic influenza viruses. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and has completed the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) EUPHEM Fellowship (2017-2019 in Rome). She currently serves at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) where here main areas of work are respiratory and emerging viral disease laboratory surveillance and preparedness.
