Dr Ashar Malik
Biography
Ashar Malik is Assistant Professor in Community Health Sciences at the Aga Khan University in Pakistan. Dr Malik’s areas of expertise include economic evaluation of health programs, impact evaluation of health reforms, designing and conducting population health surveys, analysis of equity using survey data, and big data analysis. Dr Malik has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics, Master’s degrees in Economics and Health Economics, and a PhD in Health Economics and Policy. Dr Malik has previously worked as a Healthcare Financing Expert in the Health Policy Unit of the Ministry of Health, Pakistan. In 2015, Dr Malik received the Faculty Development Award and, in 2017, Dr Malik was recognized as being among the top-ten researchers at Aga Khan University.
