Biography
Dr Derrick Heng is the Deputy Director-General of Health (Public Health) at the Ministry of Health in Singapore, with responsibility for professional oversight of Communicable Diseases and Non-Communicable Diseases. His areas of work include population health analytics and the provision of public health intelligence to support policy and planning and international co-operation. Derrick has been involved in policy initiatives in the areas of HIV, tuberculosis, tobacco control, obesity, chronic disease screening and mental health in Singapore.
