Dr Francesco Ceppi

Francesco Ceppi is staff physician in the Paediatric Oncology/Haematology unit at the University Hospital CHUV in Lausanne. He was a post-doctoral research fellow in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the St Justine University Hospital (University of Montreal, CA), at the Hospital for Sick Children (University of Toronto) and at Seattle Children’s Hospital (University of Washington, USA), where he supported numerous clinical and translational researches in the field of pediatric leukemia/lymphoma and immunotherapy (cellular therapy).

His research focuses on leukemia/lymphoma and cell therapy in children, with a particular interest in the field of CAR T cell therapy. He co-authored several peer-reviewed publications and has been awarded with several research grants and awards. For more than 20 years, he has been involved as an expert in the “Asociación de Hemato-Oncología Pediátrica de Centro América (AHOPCA): a model for sustainable development in pediatric oncology”, for the development of clinical practice guidelines and clinical protocol.
