Biography

Dr. Hadley Matendechero Sultani is a Consultant Clinical Pharmacist and a Global Health and National Health Security Expert. He is a Senior Deputy Director at Kenya’s Ministry of Health, currently serving as Deputy Director General for Health and acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Quality Control Laboratories. He is a former Head of the National Public Health Institute and Director of the Division of Vector-Borne and Neglected Tropical Diseases

Dr. Sultani is the Vice Chair of Africa CDC’s Steering Committee on Health Diplomacy and a Member of Africa CDC’s Emergency Consultative Group. He was the Chair of the Africa Neglected Tropical Diseases Program Managers’ Community of Practice (Kikundi), Chair of the Leishmaniasis East Africa Platform, Vice Chair of the WHO Working Group on Amendments to the International Health Regulations, Member of the WHO Technical Advisory Group for Soil-Transmitted Helminthiases and Schistosomiasis, and Member of the Soil-Transmitted Helminthiasis Coalition Advisory Committee.
