Biography

Hannah Leslie is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, and an epidemiologist focused on understanding and modifying structural determinants of health, with a particular focus on health systems. She served on the Lancet Global Health Commission on High-Quality Health Systems as the lead researcher on measurement. She is interested in developing and applying novel methods to measure health care quality with the aim of identifying health system attributes as targets for scalable interventions to improve health for marginalized and underserved populations. Her research areas include maternal and child health as well as prevention and treatment of chronic disease such as HIV and hypertension.
