Dr Hom Nath Chalise
Biography
Dr. Chalise has completed his Ph.D. in 2007 from the Department of social gerontology, the University of Tokyo, Japan. He had served as an Associate professor of public health at Purbanchal University and Director of Geriatric Center Nepal. In 2019, he was at Appalachian State University, North Carolina, the USA as a visiting researcher. He regularly participates in different aging-related international conferences. His most of the research papers have focused different types of aging issues of developing countries particularly focusing on Loneliness, Depression, Functional Disability, Caregiving Burden, Older Persons Abuse and Quality of Life.
Two years ago, he was awarded the Best Oral Presentation Award in the APRU Aging conference held in Keio University, Tokyo (October 13-14, 2019). Now he is serving as a faculty member, Mphil lead PhD programme, Center Department of Population Studies at Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has published more than two dozens of research papers in the reputed journals in the field of aging and health and has been actively serving as a reviewer of reputed journal of aging. He has also served as an organizing Technical committee member of the couple of international conferences in the field of public health and aging.
