Dr Kim Lindblade
Biography
Dr Kim Lindblade is a global health epidemiologist with extensive experience in malaria control and elimination programmes. She currently serves as Research Director at the Indiana University Center for Global Health Equity, where she leads research initiatives focused on infectious diseases, implementation science, and strengthening health systems in low- and middle-income countries.
Dr Lindblade has over two decades of experience working in malaria-endemic settings, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. Her work has focused on malaria surveillance, vector control strategies, and the evaluation of interventions to reduce transmission and disease burden. She has held senior technical and leadership roles at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she contributed to the design and implementation of malaria control programmes and operational research.
Her expertise spans epidemiology, programme evaluation, and the translation of research into policy and practice. Dr Lindblade has collaborated extensively with national malaria programmes, international partners, and academic institutions to support evidence-based decision-making and accelerate progress towards malaria elimination.
