Dr Lena Mandrik

Biography
Lena Mandrik is a Ukrainian national and Senior Research Fellow in Health Economics and Decision Science at the University of Sheffield. She holds degrees from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (MSc), Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University (PhD/PharmD), Maastricht University (MSc), and Erasmus University Rotterdam (PhD).
Her research focuses on the evaluation of diagnostic and screening interventions, with a particular emphasis on cancer diagnostics. She is especially interested in improving access to effective and cost-effective diagnostic tools, advancing decision-making processes globally through decision science, enhancing research transferability, and integrating patient preferences into health policy decisions.
Lena has contributed to multiple methodological studies in decision science as well as empirical diagnostic projects. She is also a Co-Director of the Sheffield Evidence Network for Screening Synthesis (SENSS).
