Biography

Dr Lilian Kiapi is a medical doctor and global public health leader with over 25 years’ experience establishing programmes and projects, providing short- and long-term technical assistance, leading strategy formulation, design, implementation and MEAL of emergency and development public health projects in refugee, internally displaced and underserved communities in sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, Asia and Latin America.

She has proven experience working in partnership with government counterparts, NGOs, CBOs and academic bodies and has used her expertise and experience to contribute effectively as a member of global, regional and country level technical working groups on emergency health, primary health care, child health, immunization, HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health and rights, maternal and neonatal, community health, noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), quality improvement, WASH in health care facilities and infection prevention and control, health support and systems strengthening in fragile settings; Lilian has led growth of NCD service delivery at primary care level in humanitarian contexts in 26 countries and has vast experience in fundraising, human resource management and development- modelling systems for mentorship and capacity development of health workers. Lilian has taught public health modules at graduate and diploma level and brings invaluable experience working with public/institutional and private foundations and trusts.
