Dr Mustapha Feisul
Biography
Dr Feisul is a consultant public health physician best known for his leadership in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases in Malaysia since 2006. He currently helms the role of Deputy Director (NCD) at the Disease Control Division, Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
Drawing from his experience through his role in policy, program development, and strategic implementation for the prevention and control of NCDs, Dr Feisul actively engages with civil society and multilateral institutions to achieve greater heights together. He currently serves as Chair of the Scientific Advisory Group for the Monash University Southeast Asia Community Observatory (SEACO), Board Member for the Advisory Board of the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH), and a Member of the Policy Advisory Group of the World Cancer Research Fund International (WCRF).
Dr Feisul is a teacher, learner, and explorer. He enjoys critical analysis of current trends in healthcare and believes in the ability of new encounters to stimulate greater learning, inspiration, and opportunities. His special interest is in leveraging technology in catalysing behavioural modification to reduce the populations’ exposure to NCD risk factors, particularly among vulnerable populations.
