Dr Neeraj Dhingra
Biography
Dr Neeraj Dhingra is a senior public health expert with more than 33 years of leadership in vector-borne diseases, NTDs and HIV, with extensive experience in national programme design, policy development, and disease elimination strategies. Former Director, National Centre for Vector Borne Disease Control (NCVBDC), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, where he led India’s National Malaria Elimination Plan and strengthened surveillance, vector control, and last-mile implementation systems. He has driven major advances in the control and elimination of malaria, lymphatic filariasis, visceral leishmaniasis, dengue, chikungunya, and Japanese encephalitis, including the introduction of triple-drug therapy for LF elimination and large-scale LLIN deployment. Experienced in working with multiple stake holders including civil society organisations, providing technical leadership for disease elimination initiatives.
