Dr Tandin Zangpo
Biography
Dr Tandin Zangpo has MBBS Degree from India and Master of Public Health (MPH Bio-Security) with Fellowship in One Health Epidemiology from Massey University, New Zealand. He has working experiences as a clinician, public health specialist and One Health Professional over 13 years in Bhutan and in the region.
Dr Tandin has designed and simulated multi-hazard based hospital contingency plans for about 30 hospitals, including COVID-19 pandemic preparedness and response plan for Bhutan. He also served as the national Technical Advisory Group (TAG) and Regional Task Force Member when Bhutan lead an exemplary response against the COVID-19 pandemic. He has volunteered for the Bhutan Medical Relief Team for Nepal during the devastating Earthquake in Nepal in 2015. Thereafter, he became a certified WHO Emergency Medical Team Coordination Cell (EMT-CC) in 2016. With several international participation and exposure in SimEx in both infectious diseases and natural disasters, he has contributed immensely to the disease outbreak investigations and containment through One Health approach collaborations.
