Dr Autilia Newton

MD, MPH, Diploma Specialist in Infectious Disease; Diploma in Tropical Medicine; Consultant Communicable Disease Control

Dr Newton is a specialist in Infectious Disease and Health Protection, with over 21 years of experience working in the UK and abroad in Health Protection, and a cumulative 7 year experience of working abroad, mostly in East and West Africa. Autilia has field experience in health services for refugees, emergency response (Tsunami in Indonesia and the Philippines) and Health Minister Department work in Sierra Leone. She led the Transition from the extra-ordinary response to Ebola to the on-going preparedness and response by the Minister of Health.

Dr Newton led the PH PHE Program for the UK Overseas Territories for the last 4 years until September 2021 and is now Interim CMO in the Cayman Islands.
