Elise Lesieur
Biography
Elise Lesieur trained as a midwife and started her career in a hospital in France. She has been working in humanitarian aid for 15 years in the field and at headquarters with three INGOs: Médecins du Monde, Première urgence internationale and Action contre la faim (ACF). She has held various positions, from programme manager and health coordinator in the field to health and nutrition advisor and head of the technical department. She has worked mainly in emergency contexts but also for development programmes with a wide range of experience in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Latin America. She has had the opportunity to work in an integrated way with experts in health and nutrition and other intervention sectors such as mental health, protection, wash, food security, nutrition researchers, and human rights advocates. She is also regularly involved in capacity-building programmes in public health and nutrition. She is also involved in the voluntary sector as a board member of French NGOs. She is currently in charge of the nutrition and health department of ACF, France.
