Emma Hannay

Biography

Dr Hannay is a seasoned public health expert and strategic advisor with extensive experience in advancing global health systems and fostering innovative partnerships. Currently serving as a Strategy Advisor and Consultant, Emma has worked with prominent global health institutions such as The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Asian Development Bank. Previously, she was the Chief Access Officer at FIND in Geneva, where she led market shaping and access activities, playing a pivotal role in the global COVID-19 response. Emma also built Acasus' health portfolio, transforming health systems focused on vaccine scale-up in Pakistan, DRC, and Mozambique amongst other countries. Her work at Unitaid and McKinsey & Company further honed her expertise in market dynamics and health systems. Dr Hannay holds a Doctor of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Public Health from Harvard University and a medical degree from the University of Auckland. She is committed to driving change in complex environments and the scale up of transformative technology in global health.
